December Wrap-Up

January 3, 2019

December has been a busy time for Western New York’s CFI community. On December 14th, we celebrated the Winter Solstice with over 60 members of the community in attendance. A few select photos from the event can be found below.

More photos from the Winter Solstice can be found on Facebook and Meetup.

On December 19, we hosted the inimitable Tom Flynn for his lecture on “The Trouble With Christmas.”

As usual, SOS meetings took place on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. Just Buffalo literary cafe held a poetry reading on the 1st Wednesday of the month, and Cafe Inquiry events were held on the 1st and 2nd Mondays. Although the December potluck was canceled, there will be a potluck in January and we hope to see you there for good food and good company. Drinking Skeptically took place on December 21st, but it will be back on the 2nd Friday of the month in January.

Although the Secular Book Club was on hiatus in the fall, it will start back up again on January 23. A new event will be starting on January 17 — a CFI Game Night. Happy new year, and we’ll see you in 2019!
