Description:

Drinking Skeptically is an informal social event designed to promote fellowship and networking among skeptics, critical thinkers, and other like-minded individuals. It provides an opportunity for skeptics to talk, share ideas (and yes, drink) in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. But most of all, we have fun while promoting skepticism, science, and rationality.

In honor of the inevitable Shark Week “documentary” on a giant shark/squid hybrid creature that breeds with mermaids (probably), the August edition of Drinking Skeptically will kick off with cryptozoology and the weird creatures/monsters that are claimed to exist: Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Chupacabra, Megalodon, etc. Join us for the weird, obscure, and non-existent (but definitely fun).

Don’t drink? Don’t let that stop you from joining us! Visiting a Drinking Skeptically location from out of town? Stop on by! Skeptics are a friendly bunch and there’s always room for one more.
