Buffalo Science Fest 2018Date:
July 14, 2018
44 Prime St
Buffalo, NY 14202 United States
Private: Science Demands Action
CFI Western New York is proud to support and participate in the Buffalo Science Fest, hosted by our friends at Science Demands Action (organizers of the Buffalo March for Science). The Fest was originally supposed to occur after the Buffalo March for Science in April, but had to be rescheduled due to weather.
This event is a great opportunity for children and adults alike to interact with 30+ local organizations in health, environment, science, and policy — including CFI Western New York! There will be hands on activities, demonstrations, and information about volunteer opportunities and events. Come stop by our table and check out other organizations in WNY doing great work.
The theme for the Fest is “How can science help you? How can you help science?” The goal is to:
- Engage the Buffalo community in a discussion about the role of science in our personal lives, our community, and our country.
- Raise awareness about the organizations, aid, and opportunities across Buffalo.
- Generate excitement about science.
- Advocate for evidence-based policy.
Have some fun in the sun at Canalside while exploring science!
